Priya Mehta is an engineering lead at Notion, where she led the team that rebuilt Notion's editor from the ground up to support LLM-first interactions. She joined Notion four years ago as a senior engineer working on the core editing infrastructure — which meant she was the person who had to figure out what happened to that infrastructure when AI moved in.

The redesign her team completed over 14 months changed not just the technical architecture but the fundamental model of how Notion thinks about user input, model output, and the boundary between the two.
